From Concept to Creation: Kitty Mug Shot
Sometimes, ideas strike unexpectedly.
While casually scrolling through cat pictures—because what else does a cat person do in their free time?—I stumbled upon this funny stock photo.
That's when I thought, "Why not give this a spin with AI? This should be quick!"
The mission was set: to reimagine this scene with a twist of feline diabetes humor, perhaps involving a stolen donut to justify the mug shot.
Aiming for a blend of humor and realism:
I turned to my current favorites: DALL-E and Midjourney.
DALL-E grasped the idea
Adding fun elements like a mug shot sign and an empty dish.
However, its output leaned too much towards CG, lacking the photorealism I was asking on the prompt.
Midjourney delivered beautiful photorealistic results
But unfortunately no matter the prompt, they did not hit the concept.
What began as a quick AI task evolved into a battle of creativity vs style.
Ultimately, I turned to Photoshop, with the simple task to manually merge the concept's essence with the desired style. By adjusting details like the cat's height and integrating text into the mug shot background, I quickly created the "Diabetic Kitty - Mug Shot" into the photorealistic portrayal I had imagined.
